The Daniel Island Property Owners’ Association office occasionally receives questions regarding or requests for approval from owners wanting to install an above-ground pool on their property. The ARB and POA do not allow the above ground pools that are typically put together from a kit and are easily removable. In ground pools are considered a permanent structure that typically use materials such as gunite and require yard excavation, appropriate building permits, and safety fences and/or covers.
If you are interested in learning more about the requirements for an in-ground pool, please contact the Daniel Island ARB Office and they will be happy to assist you.
*Please note that small, inflatable/portable kiddie type pools are allowed in the fenced, rear yard preferably in a screened from view area.
