The City of Charleston Department of Parks is responsible for the maintenance of all street trees on Daniel Island. “Street Trees” are located in the right-of-way area between the sidewalk and curb in most locations. Some trees are located in tree wells adjacent to the back of curbs along streets. All of these areas are part of the public right-of-way, and these trees are owned and maintained by the City of Charleston.
To report a street tree that needs pruning, maintenance, replacement, etc., please call the City of Charleston Urban Forestry Division Work Order Line directly at 843-724-3457. You may also report it online here.
Please remember, property owners are not allowed to prune the trees without consent from the City.
If you need our help reporting the issue, please email us at info@dicommunity.com and include an address and a photo of the tree for reference.
