Starting the morning of Monday, October 7th, the developer of The Waterfront will be installing scaffolding along a small section of the Waterfront Park Trail. Please refer to the map below, where the red line indicates the area that will be temporarily closed.
This closure is expected to last for two days, weather permitting. During this time, the section of the trail closest to the Barfield Bridge will be inaccessible, meaning you won’t be able to enter Waterfront Park from Barfield Street, or vice versa. However, the rest of the trail will remain open for your enjoyment.
We recognize that this brief closure may be inconvenient, but we appreciate your understanding. The installation of this overhead protection will help ensure that there are no long-term trail closures as the developers move forward with Phase 3 of the project.
Additionally, maintenance on the rest of the trail will commence that same week, but we do not anticipate any closures during this work. Thank you for your patience and support!
