HALOS Holiday Giving Is Here!

November 02, 2026

Help Bring Holiday Joy to Children Through the HALOS Angel Tree Drive

The Daniel Island Community Foundation (DICF) is once again partnering with HALOS to support kinship caregivers—relatives and loved ones who step in to raise children to help them avoid entering foster care with unfamiliar families.

The holiday season can bring added financial pressure and stress for these caregivers as they work to provide for their families. Through the HALOS Angel Tree Holiday Drive, our community has an opportunity to make the season brighter by purchasing holiday gifts for children supported by the HALOS organization.

How to Participate

Each child on the virtual Angel Tree has a profile listing their age, gender, race, and holiday wish list. Community members can sign up to sponsor one or more children and purchase gifts from their wish lists.

All gifts must be delivered unwrapped to the Daniel Island POA Office by Monday, November 30, or to one of the designated HALOS drop-off locations listed below.

HALOS Gift Drop-Off Locations:

  • Tuesday, December 1 | 5:00–7:00 p.m.
    Motley Rice
28 Bridgeside Blvd, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466
  • Sunday, December 6 | 2:00–5:00 p.m.
    Royal Missionary Baptist Church
4761 Luella Ave, North Charleston, SC 29405
  • Monday, December 7 | 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
    Royal Missionary Baptist Church
4761 Luella Ave, North Charleston, SC 29405

Sponsor a Child Today!

This year, DICF has committed to sponsoring 150 children, and we are excited to share that our virtual Angel Tree is now available!

Click here to view the HALOS Angel Tree and sign up to sponsor a child. Simply click the green “Sign Up” button on the right and complete the requested information. You will receive a confirmation email with your sponsored child’s information and gift drop-off instructions.

Your generosity can make a meaningful difference in a child’s holiday season. Thank you for helping DICF and HALOS bring joy to children and support the caregivers who work so hard to provide them with a loving home.
