Charleston Water System (CPW) is inspecting a potential sewer main line break in the right of way on the Guggenheim Terrace side at Seven Farms Drive.
CPW will be placing a cover over the sinkhole area tentatively for Tuesday, July 26th in preparation for repairs to follow on Wednesday, July 27th, or Thursday, July 28th. CPW may close access to the exit side road along Guggenheim Terrace on Wednesday and/or Thursday on the Evergreen Building side.
Based on the potential main line break, you may experience a foul order in this area. Please use caution and avoid the cordoned-off area.
As soon as more information becomes available from CPW, we will update the community.
If you have any questions, please contact Cain Bolton at boltonca@charlestoncpw.com
Update Wednesday, July 27th:
CPW will be working at Guggenheim Terrace beginning Monday, August 1st, and will be there through August 5th or until the repairs have been completed. The street and sidewalk on the Agave side of Guggenheim Terrace will be closed from the parking lot entrance to Seven Farms Drive (see map below) during repairs.
