The following information was provided to the Daniel Island Property Owners’ Association office for immediate release by Berkeley County, the City of Charleston, and Banks Construction to provide some initial details with respect to construction activities scheduled for Seven Farms Drive on Daniel Island.
As you may be aware, Banks Construction Company has been contracted by Berkeley County for the resurfacing of Seven Farms Drive from Island Park Drive to near the traffic circle at Daniel Island Drive. Also, as part of this contract, pedestrian enhancements will be made at the intersection/entrance to Publix between River Landing Drive and Island Park Drive.
Below are some other items to note:
- Start date – Monday, February 28, 2022
- Duration – 4-5 weeks with a completion date of April 1, 2022
- The sequence of Work w/ approximate dates
- Pedestrian enhancements at Publix entrance drive – February 28 – March 11 (~2 weeks) – Daytime work
- Milling and resurfacing of Seven Farms Drive – March 13 – March 25th (~2 weeks) – Nighttime work
- Final items/project clean-up, as needed – March 28 – April 1 (~1 week) – Daytime work
- Nighttime work – Milling and resurfacing of Seven Farms Drive will be conducted at night to minimize traffic impacts and impacts to commercial district operations. Nighttime lane closures and work activities will take place between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM
