Ready to protect our local waterways? Join your neighbors for two quick hours of high-impact community action on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Check in at Daniel Island Waterfront Park by the stage.
Last year, nationwide cleanup efforts mobilized over 2,700 volunteers across the country to haul in nearly 7 tons of litter and restore over 7,000 acres of sensitive habitat. Let’s keep up the momentum and show what Daniel Island can do!
What to Expect:
- Team up in pairs (one collector, one tally keeper) to record trash data directly for the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium.
- Earn certified volunteer service hours!
- Gear & Dress: Wear closed-toe shoes (or rubber boots for the marsh) and sunscreen. We provide bags and gloves while supplies last, but please bring your own trash grabber, garden gloves, and refillable water bottle if you have them.
