Paint the Town With Patriotic Pride!

June 01, 2020

The Daniel Island Property Owners’ Association (DIPOA) is encouraging property owners to decorate their homes for the upcoming 4th of July holiday and we are offering you a special opportunity to purchase “patriotic bunting” from the Daniel Island Community Fund with the proceeds of the bunting sales benefiting the following organizations: Daniel Island School PTA & Veterans Matter.

Below are links to the two beneficiary organizations.

Upon your purchase of the patriotic bunting (see “How To” details below), a staff member from the DIPOA will deliver your order to your home. Delivery will occur once payment has been received. We will coordinate that delivery with you prior to drop off. Limited quantity will be available and we expect to sell out quickly, so be sure and purchase early!

Bunting Cost and Details:

This beautiful patriotic stars and stripes bunting is $20.00 per section of bunting. The bunting is 3′ x 6′ and is a poly cotton material with grommets at the top for ease of hanging. The bunting is a great investment and can be used not only during the July 4th holiday, but also on other patriotic holidays such as Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Flag Day, and Memorial Day.

How to Order and Pay For Bunting:
To order your bunting, please email Barbara.McLaughlin@dicommunity.org and provide the following information in your email. Barbara will follow up with you by email regarding your order and provide payment and delivery information to you.

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email Address
  • Daniel Island Home (Street) Address
  • Cell Phone #
  • How many total sections of bunting would you like to order (they are $20.00 per section)

While the DIPOA is unable to host any large gatherings this year in observance of the 4th of July holiday due to the COVID pandemic concerns and restrictions, we are pleased to announce that we will be stepping up our own efforts to decorate the island at some of our roundabouts, amenities, and common areas with beautiful new American flags and bunting. While we are living in a time different than what we would prefer, our community spirit remains vibrant! We look forward to seeing our neighborhoods decked out in red, white and blue and we appreciate your part in supporting this particular community initiative fundraiser for these two organizations.
