2026 DIPA Board of Directors Election Process and Candidate Bios

October 06, 2026

The 2026 Daniel Island Community Association (DIPA) Board of Directors election is right around the corner. Three candidates have submitted nominations for the two DIPA Board of Directors positions. The candidates are Chris Bechhold, Frank Conway, and Dr. Mary Sudzina. Even though we have 3 candidates and there are only 2 positions to be filled on the DIPA Board, we must have 10% of property owners participate in the election.

Below is some information regarding the upcoming election, as well as the candidate photos and bios.

  • 2 Directors will be elected by the Daniel Island Park Association (DIPA) Property Owners via an Electronic election starting on November 3rd, beginning at 6:00 AM, and ending on November 9th at 6:00 PM.
  • If you are unable to vote electronically in the 2026 election of 2 DIPA Board Members:
    • You may fill out and sign a secure paper ballot at the POA office at 130 River Landing Drive, Suite 1-C, Monday-Thursday, 9 AM – 4 PM, November 3rd – November 9th. Your ballot will remain sealed until November 9th, when it will be counted with the electronic votes that are received.
    • During this election time, you may vote by telephone by calling (844) 797-4575 (9 am-6 pm, ET) to speak with a Vote-Now specialist.
    • You may also assign your vote by proxy by submitting in writing your address and signature and delivering it to the POA office at 130 River Landing Drive, Suite 1-C.
  • Only Daniel Island Park Association (DIPA) Property Owners can vote via an electronic election.
    • This election is for the residents who own property within the Daniel Island Park Association (DIPA) only. DIPA comprises all single-family properties and townhomes located north of I-526.
    • DIPA Renters are not eligible to vote unless given a proxy by the property owner.
  • 1 vote per property
    • Each property is only allotted one vote.
    • If you have multiple DIPA properties, you still will only vote once, but your vote will be counted towards as many DIPA properties as you own.
  • You must choose 2 of the 3 candidates. If you do not choose 2, your vote will not count.
  • The first email with voting information will be sent to the primary email on the account for each DIPA Property Owner on the first day of the election, November 3rd, between 6 AM and 9 AM (emails are sent in batches by the voting software).
    • The email will come from the email address “elections@vote-now.com“
    • The email included a voting website and a unique voting code.
    • If you do not receive an email, please check your spam folder.
  • Need 10% of DIPA Property Owners to vote for the election to be valid by meeting our quorum requirement. This means a total of 114 properties need to vote to validate the election. Even though we have 3 candidates and there are only 2 positions to be filled on the DIPA Board, we must have 10% of property owners participate in the election.

If you have any questions or if you did not receive an email to vote by noon on October 20th, and it is not in your spam folder, please contact the POA office via email at info@dicommunity.org.
