Postpartum Support Charleston has applied for a Special Events permit with the City of Charleston. In accordance with City requirements, we are notifying all impacted persons and businesses that the 2018 Moms’ Run will take place around your neighborhood on Saturday, May 12, from 8 AM to approximately 9:30 AM. The 5k run/walk begins at MUSC Stadium, proceeds along Daniel Island Drive to Seven Farms Drive and toward Etiwan Park before heading back and finishing at MUSC Stadium. The 2018 Moms’ Run will impact the following streets: (please see map below for specific route)
- MUSC Stadium to Daniel Island Drive
- Daniel Island Drive to Seven Farms
- Seven Farm to Etiwan Park
These streets WILL NOT BE COMPLETELY CLOSED, but TRAFFIC MAY BE DELAYED as runners and walkers pass. City of Charleston Police will be directing traffic. Moms’ Run volunteers will be along the course to assist with traffic. Please use alternate routes during this time as runners and walkers pass through. This event is Postpartum Support Charleston’s largest fundraiser of the year and helps in the mission of educating and supporting mothers and their families, the medical community and the general public about the signs and symptoms of postpartum depression, available treatment options and community resources.
