After two long years of renovation, Phase 1 of the Daniel Island Waterfront Park is open!
As of Friday, April 9th, the City of Charleston has issued final approval for the park. Areas that are open for resident use include the trail system and both docks. The fountain is undergoing final permitting/inspection from DHEC and is not officially open yet.
Additionally, Daniel Island’s first and only waterfront restaurant, Kingstide has open for dining. The Dime, a new gourmet market and eatery, has been open for business and has quickly become a popular spot for a coffee, a sweet treat or a quick lunch.
There are still some landscaping improvements that are underway, so please take caution when in the park area while work is being completed.
