We were unlucky with the weather for the scheduled Around the World in 80 Minutes and sadly will not be rescheduling this year. However, the organizers of Around the World in 80 Minutes would like to give our generous community an opportunity to support Camp Happy Days fundraising for this years summer camp for kids with cancer.
The goal is to raise $5,000 as a community. The Daniel Island Foundation will match up to $2,500. Please click HERE for the donation page.
About Camp Happy Days:
Since 1982, Camp Happy Days has offered a comprehensive, year-round support system for children diagnosed with cancer and their families in South Carolina. During this time, the organization has grown from serving a handful of children with a single program, to serving more than 550 children each year with 14 year-round programs – all without cost to any family. Their goal is to give these children life changing experiences that offer hope, courage and the will to fight one more round.
While Camp is about fun, friends and incredible opportunities, it is also about changing the lives of children with cancer. It is a week where amazing things happen every day, where kids realize their dreams, overcome adversity, and emerge as stronger, more self-assured campers.
The week is filled with new and exciting adventures and events. Some things to look forward to are dances, fireworks on the 4th, tubing, parasailing, fishing, painting, and last but not least is a fabulous talent show!
Camp is their largest program and thus the most costly. Please consider making a donation, volunteering or being a Sponsor for camp.
