The Daniel Island POA owns and maintains 3 community pools which are for exclusive use by the Daniel Island Community Association (DICA) residents. DICA Residents are given (2) amenity fobs to access these pools. At the pools, we offer a variety of programming which includes water aerobics, swim lessons, and swim team.
Pierce Park Pool and Pavilion – 1801 Pierce Street
Pierce Park is a central gathering place on the island, especially during the summer months. The Olympic-sized pool is climate-controlled for year-round use and has six 25-meter lap lanes! It has ample deck space and loungers for sunbathers as well as dining tables with umbrellas and a shaded pergola. To top it off, a unique splash pad offers hours of fun for all ages! Within the pool gates, you will also find bathrooms equipped with indoor showers and vending machines.
Behind the pool, you will find an outdoor event pavilion with breathtaking Wando River and marsh views. This Pavilion features a large outdoor fireplace, bathrooms, charcoal grills, and a catering kitchen. The park also has a large playground and two paved parking lots. Pierce Park Pavilion is the location for many resident gatherings including weddings.
Next to the Pierce Park Pool, there is a long green space with sunshades and benches which is ideal for bocce. In fact, we have a bocce group who meets there on a weekly basis for some friendly competition. When the bocce group is not out on the field, it is open for residents to use and play on. We even have a bocce set in the storage box for anyone to use.
The Pierce Park Pool is not available for pool parties, or special events.
