Named in honor of Daniel Island’s cattle farming days, which date back to the early to mid-1900s. During the island community’s development, two old cattle troughs were found in the area and were used to create fountains for this park.

Daniel Island has hundreds of acres of land that are home to beautiful parks, passive and greenspaces. The extensive 25+ mile trail system winds through maritime forest, along the marsh and the water’s edge, and through neighborhoods and the island’s downtown, offering scenic views and a safe and convenient environment for runners, walkers, and cyclists.
