The Hope Summit 2023 Festival is a family-friendly zero-waste celebration of community service, citizen science, and local solutions co-hosted at the Daniel Island Waterfront Park by the Carolina Ocean Alliance and the Daniel Island Neighborhood Association. The Festival will feature dozens of local organizations, sustainable vendors, and solutions providers. Explore the Family Zone curated by the Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network, an immersive and sensory educational experience for children and their parents with animal ambassadors, a virtual reality dive on the Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary, and a place to discover the scents and textures of native herbs and flowers with native plant species advocates.
The first 50 families to attend the festival will receive a free Yeti Load Out bucket from Beach Santa for litter clean-ups, oyster shell recycling, or other citizen science projects that can be customized with stickers and badges from the dozens of organizations in attendance.
Attendees traveling from Downtown Charleston are encouraged to enjoy a sponsored trip on the Daniel Island Ferry with all round-trip fares provided by the Coastal Conservation League.
