On February 8, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Daniel Island Library conference room (2301 Daniel Island Dr.), the Daniel Island School and Community Garden will host a talk by Dylan McGuire on Spring Planting in the Lowcountry followed by snacks at the Daniel Island School and Community Garden. The event is free and open to the public.
Dylan McGuire is the garden manager for the College of Charleston Student Gardens at Stone Preserve in Hollywood. He is passionate about the educational aspects of garden work and enjoys cooking delicious meals with fresh harvests from the farm. Two of his favorite spring vegetables are Swiss chard and carrots.
