Mental Health Heroes will host its Second Annual Oyster Roast at Daniel Island Waterfront Park on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The family-friendly wellness event will feature opening remarks from community leaders, Oysters from Mt. Pleasant Seafood Company, acai bowls, smoothies, etc. from Beech, yoga, live music, local vendors, games, raffle prizes and more.

Mental Health Heroes is a local 501C3 that raises awareness to local mental health resources and provides financial relief to community members in order to access mental healthcare at Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center (CDMHC). CDMHC provides emergency, crisis triage and outpatient mental healthcare including Psychiatry, medication management, case management, and vocational training to all Charleston and Dorchester County residents.

The second Annual Oyster Roast fundraiser benefiting Mental Health Heroes will introduce the cause and community partnerships helping to change stigmas related to mental health disorders and available treatment. Mental Health affects every community member, so the event is open to children, adults, business owners, artisans, practitioners, and friends! Tickets are on sale for $60 for adults, $30 for veterans and ages 13 to 17, children under 12 are free. Proceeds go directly to Mental Health HEROES.
