Katie Stagliano, who was named one of Southern Living magazine’s Southerners of the Year in 2023 and founder of Katie’s Krops, will talk about her non-profit gardening group that helps feed needy families in 33 states. Her operation which now includes 100 gardens has donated 600,000 pounds of produce raised by growers between the ages of 7 and 16. Because Katie’s Krops relies on donations, attendees are asked to bring seed packets (squash, beans, watermelon, cucumbers), garden gloves, pruners, or baskets to hold produce.
