You will continue down the Wando River as it feeds into the Charleston Harbor en route to Crab Bank and Castle Pinckney. Crab Bank is one of the only six active seabird and shorebird nesting sanctuaries on the South Carolina coast. The parent birds have been pair bonding, nest building, and preparing for the summer fledglings that are arriving daily at this point.
