Swim Charleston Swim-a-Thon

March 28, 2019

The Swim Charleston Swim Team will host their annual Swim-a-Thon Fundraiser at the Pierce Park Pool and Pavilion on Saturday, April 6th from 10 AM – 7 PM. Join the POA in wishing all swimmers and the team good luck as they strive to meet their fundraising goal of $15,000!

What is a Swim-a-Thon?

A Swim-a-Thon is a USA Swimming Foundation approved fundraiser used by swim teams all over the United States to raise money.

For a Swim-a-Thon, swimmers receive pledges and donations from family members. Swim Charleston is a non-profit swim team so donations are tax deductible. This is a family event. Parents of the younger swimmers help count laps and keep track of times. There will be apparel for sale, music, food, fun, friends, and good swimming. There will also be 50/50 raffle tickets for sale at $10 each (not tax deductible).

5% of the proceeds raised from the Swim-a-Thon will go to the USA Swimming Foundation to support learn to swim programs and the U.S. National Team athletes and coaches. By donating to the Swim-a-Thon you are not only helping Swim Charleston, but also helping give children across the country the same great experience in the pool.

Please direct any questions to Cathy Sheafer at Cathy.Sheafer@swimcharleston.org

*Please Note: The Pierce Park Pool will be closed for resident use during this time. We encourage residents to use the Scott Park Pool and the Edgefield Pool during the closure.
