New Traffic Signal on Island Park Drive

June 29, 2020

After several years of planning, the City of Charleston will be installing a new traffic signal at the intersection of Fairchild Street and Island Park Drive starting within the next two weeks..

The project includes the installation of concrete foundations for traffic poles with mast, pedestrian poles and traffic cabinet, directional boring for the installation of conduit raceways, installation of in ground pull boxes and demolition for sidewalk construction and ADA ramps.

Please use caution when in this area during construction.
