Due to ongoing and widespread COVID-19 quarantines, Republic Services has informed the city of Charleston that garbage (green cans) and trash (yard waste and bulk items) collection on Daniel Island will take place over two days this week, with garbage collected on Monday, July 27, and trash collected on Tuesday, July 28.
City crews are being mobilized to assist with these collections as necessary.
As we continue to work through these issues, citizens are asked to report any problems with garbage or trash collection to the city’s Citizen Services Desk, at 843.724.7311 or citizenservices@charleston-sc.gov.
Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, and will continue to work closely with Republic until their quarantined employees return to duty.
