In the spirit of remembrance and patriotism, the Daniel Island Rotary Club and the Daniel Island Community Fund (DICF) came together in 2014 to lay the foundation for a Commemorative Park on Daniel Island, a lasting tribute to those who have touched our lives and served our nation with honor.
This sacred space was envisioned as a place of reflection, pride, and gratitude, a way to remember and celebrate the lives of friends, family, and loved ones, both living and departed. Through thoughtful design elements such as engraved brick pavers, dedicated benches, and memorial trees, the park invites our community to come together and honor the legacies that have shaped us.
Phase 1: A Legacy Begins
With over 350 engraved bricks and countless dedications of benches and trees, Phase 1 of the project brought this vision to life, creating a meaningful space for reflection and unity.
Phase 2: Expanding Our Tribute
As we continue this journey of remembrance, Phase 2 will complete the inner circle of the park, offering approximately 1,500 additional bricks for engraving. This is a special opportunity for Daniel Island residents, businesses, community partners, and nonprofits to take part in honoring loved ones and American heroes.
