Fires & Bonfires On POA Property

September 17, 2024

As we move into the season where outdoor gatherings and recreational activities become more frequent, we want to remind everyone about an important safety regulation concerning fires and bonfires on POA property.

Setting fires or bonfires on POA Property is not permitted.

For the safety and well-being of our community, it is strictly prohibited to set fires or bonfires on any POA property, including parks, waterfront beaches, sidewalks, and other communal areas.

Why?

  1. Fire Hazards: Open fires can quickly escalate out of control, especially in dry or windy conditions. A small spark can become a major blaze, endangering lives, property, and natural habitats.
  2. Health Risks: Smoke from fires contains harmful pollutants that can affect respiratory health. Prolonged exposure can be particularly dangerous for children, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions.
  3. Environmental Impact: Fires can cause severe damage to local flora and fauna. The destruction of vegetation can lead to erosion, loss of wildlife habitat, and long-term ecological damage.

What to Do in Case of Emergency

If you witness a fire or see someone violating this regulation, please contact the police immediately. Prompt reporting can help prevent potential disasters and ensure quick action.

Your Cooperation is Key

We appreciate your cooperation in following these regulations and helping to keep our community safe. By adhering to these rules, we can all enjoy our public spaces responsibly and protect the environment and our fellow residents.
