On May 11, 2019 around 12 pm, the City of Charleston Fire Department and Daniel Island POA were made aware of several fires on the Bellinger Island property. The fires were extinguished by the Charleston Fire Department immediately. After further investigation, there appeared to be juvenile activity associated with these fires and the Charleston Police Department had been notified. The Beresford Creek Boat Landing security cameras were able to identify five juveniles present before and right after the fires were started.
We are extremely concerned about this serious activity, and the potential damage that could have occurred on Bellinger Island. We want to thank the resident who immediately called our team upon seeing the fire.
