After two long years of renovation, the new Daniel Island Waterfront Park is close to completion. Design work began in 2016 for this major park improvement project and this week the park is 95% completed.
The City of Charleston has not issued final approval or finished their inspections so the entire park is still considered closed at this time, including the trail system and playground. There are still safety related improvements that have not been made, so please avoid the park area until work is completed.
We are hopeful that the City will finish their inspections in the coming weeks and will announce the official opening at that time.
