Daniel Island Masters Swim Team

May 24, 2017

The swim program will include 3 workouts each week. Participants will be able to complete the workouts on their own should they miss a session. Brad Johnson will be on deck for each workout, and it is his goal as a coach to help each swimmer identify key areas to focus on during drill sets and in the workouts.

A little bit about Brad:

Brad Johnson

Certified Endurance Coach

USAT certified, Ironman Certified, RRCA Run Coach, US Masters Swimming Level II

Brad’s passion is endurance sports, and triathlon in particular. He thrives on working with athletes to help them achieve their unique, individual goals, and believes strongly that coaching is not about the coach. Coaching is about the athlete. Brad began coaching triathlon in 2005 in San Diego, California under Dave Scott’s Team in Training coaching certification program before moving back to the East Coast (South Carolina) later that year. In 2007, he moved from South Carolina to Quebec, Canada and continued to coach both running and triathlon in group and individual 1-on-1 settings. In 2011, he again attended the coaching certification program with Dave Scott, and upon returning to South Carolina in 2015, he completed the USAT, Ironman, RRCA and US Masters Swimming Level II coaching certifications.

During Brad’s time in Montreal, Quebec, he coached under the CT Coaching brand (http://cycletechnique.com/train/), and in 2014 he co-founded the CT TRI endurance club, which has logged several athlete and club podium finishes.  This unique club format continues to offer triathletes a supportive and athlete focused environment in which to pursue their sport(s) of interest.  Now back in South Carolina, he is working to bring these principles of success and proven coaching models to the newly founded Brad Johnson Coaching / CT Multisport training platform. Brad enjoys working with athletes of all levels both directly and virtually, and looks forward to growing and supporting coaching based programs in 2017 and beyond.
