Community Pools Capacity Increasing

May 26, 2020

The first week of the new pool software, CourtReserve has had its ups and downs. While the system seems to be working well for most, some are still having trouble. While we agree that the reservation software has not been optimal, it has allowed for us to safely start reopening our 3 community pools per SC DHEC guidelines.

This week, we are implementing the below new protocols and procedures within the CourtReserve software.

  1. Occupancy: We are increasing our occupancy to allow 30% (45 swimmers) at the pool during all time slots except for the 5 AM – 7 AM Lap Swim time. When increasing the occupancy numbers, those on the wait-lists will be accepted first before new bookings will be accepted. As conditions in South Carolina improve, we will keep increasing our capacity until we are fully operational again.
    1. If you have already been able to book pool time, we would kindly ask that you refrain from booking additional pool time for the next few weeks so that others may have an opportunity to enjoy the pools.
  2. Email Reminders: You will receive a reminder of your event reservation 3 hours before your booked time. If you cannot make your booked time, please cancel your reservation to allow someone from the wait-list to attend the pool.
  3. Cancellations: All residents are asked to CANCEL their booked reservation at least 2 hours before their reservation if they will not be using it.
    1. Please keep in mind that we are using the “My Events” tab. When you click this tab, you will be able to view and make changes to your bookings.
  4. No Show Policy: When a resident does not show up to (2) booked reservations without cancelling, their account will be temporarily suspended and they will not be permitted to book pool time.
  5. Wait List: There is a glitch with the software in regards to registering for the wait list. As of now, the system will only allow the primary account holder to register for a wait list. The software developer is aware of the issue and we hope it will be corrected soon.
    1. In the meantime, we encourage you to register for a wait list and please email info@dicommunity.org with the date, time, pool of preference, and the first and last names of all family members you would like to add to the reservation. Our staff will work as quickly as we can to accommodate your request. We are sorry that this is a complicated and frustrating process and hope to return to normal pool usage as soon as possible.
  6. Lap Swimmers: In addition to the morning lap swimming times, there will be ONE lap lane in the pool at the Scott Park Pool and Pierce Park Pool during all time slots.

We thank you for your continued patience and understanding during this time. We are doing our best to accommodate property owners during extraordinary circumstances and continue to take the responsibility of keeping our pools as safe as possible for all property owners with a measured and conscientious approach.
