The Vision
In 2014, the Daniel Island Rotary Club and the Daniel Island Community Fund (DICF) began working together to establish the initial funding for a Commemorative Park on Daniel Island.
The purpose of this exciting new park was to honor and commemorate friends and loved ones, both living and deceased, through different park design elements such as inscribed brick pavers, benches, and trees.
In phase 1 of the project, over 350 bricks were engraved, and numerous benches and trees were dedicated.
Phase 2
Phase 2 of the project will fill in the inner circle from Phase 1. There are about 1,500 bricks available for engraving in this section. Any Daniel Island resident, business, community partner, or nonprofit organization is eligible to sponsor a brick.
Engraving Suggestions: In honor or memory of a loved one or a cherished pet, meaningful date, uplifting message, quote, or family name.
Sponsoring A Brick
Bricks are $100 to sponsor. Cost includes the brick, engraving, and installation.
All payments and registration will be done electronically through the Property Owners’ Association Office.
To sponsor a brick, please complete the brick request form HERE for each brick you are wanting to sponsor (1 form per brick). Once received, a POA Staff member will email you within 48 hrs (excluding holidays and weekends) with confirmation of receipt and online payment information.
Please note:Â Engraving allows for up to 3 lines of text with a maximum of 16 characters per line, including spaces and punctuation. A new form should be completed for each brick you are wanting to inscribe.
Also, please be aware that the inscriptions are sand blasted on site. The rain and the high heat are factors in determining when the bricks can be inscribed.
