Come join in for the 35th Annual Beach/River Sweep and help keep our beautiful Lowcountry shores on Daniel Island looking great and healthy (and earn Service Hours)! Look for the tables set up by the Wando River near DI’s Waterfront Park and Marina to check-in. You’ll sweep at low tide (~3:00 pm) to be able to get into the grasses where lots of trash gets deposited.
- All are welcome (no advanced registration required; just show up)
- Participation counts for SERVICE HOURS (bring your forms)
- Bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, a trash picker and gloves (if possible)
- A hat, closed-toe shoes/lace-up marsh boots, long-sleeved shirts, and long pants are recommended
- Snacks, drinks, and other supplies (trash bags, trash tally forms) will be provided for volunteers
