An amazing and thoughtful idea popped up on Daniel Island Moms as well as a few other Facebook groups in the past few weeks – “Spreading Joy” to local senior homes in our area. We thought we would help our residents out by being the middle man in the sharing process making it easier for them to share their messages.
All you have to do is take a photo, draw a picture or write a letter. It can be anything that sparks joy for you and would bring a smile to others! A simple walk with your family to see all of the beautiful flowers blooming, a photo of a bird nesting, something you are baking, or what you are doing to keep busy during this time. Then, scan or send your message to one of us via email to Lisa Avant at Lisa.Avant@dicommunity.org or Dani Hermann at Danielle.Hermann@dicommunity.org, and we will share it with Wellmore of Daniel Island and Summit Place.
After consulting with our senior communities, you are asked to please send only virtual submissions as an extra measure of safety precaution for our senior population and their caregivers as we all continue to try and flatten the curve of Covid-19 and we want to take these extra measures to ensure this.
