Residents and commuters on Daniel Island should be aware of upcoming roadway improvements scheduled from April 8 through April 27, 2026. The project will include both patching and resurfacing work across several key streets, with most activity taking place overnight to minimize daytime disruptions.
The schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday day (4/8) – Citizen-requested roadway marking refresh on Pierce St., between Jenys St. and Bulline St. No Parking signs and cones have already been placed along the side of the street where parking is typically allowed, to notify residents in advance of the temporary restrictions. The project is expected to take approximately two hours to complete. The roadway will remain open, and they do not anticipate any traffic disruptions.
- Wednesday night (4/8) – Patching on Fairchild Street (Daniel Island Drive to River Landing Drive)
- Thursday night (4/9) – Patching on River Landing Drive (Island Park Drive to Seven Farms Drive)
- Sunday night (4/12) – Patching on River Landing Drive (Seven Farms Drive to Longshore Drive)
- Monday night (4/13) – Patching on Delahow Street (Woodford Street to Island Park Drive) and patching on Island Park Drive (everything North of Fairbanks Drive roundabout)
- Tuesday night (4/14) – Patching on Island Park Drive (everything North of Fairbanks Drive roundabout)
- Wednesday night (4/15) – Resrufacing on Fairchild Street (Dainel Island Drive to River Landing Drive)
- Sunday night (4/19) – Resurfacing on River Landing Drive (Island Park Drive to Seven Farms Drive and Seven Farms Drive to Longshore Drive)
- Monday night (4/20) – Resurfacing on River Landing Drive (Island Park Drive to Seven Farms Drive and Seven Farms Drive to Longshore Drive)
- Tuesday night (4/21) – Resurfacing on River Landing Drive (Island Park Drive to Seven Farms Drive and Seven Farms Drive to Longshore Drive)
- Wednesday night (4/22) – Resurfacing on Delahow Street (Woodford Street to Island Park Drive)
- Sunday night (4/26) – Resurfacing on Island Park Drive (everything North of Fairbanks Drive roundabout)
- Monday night (4/27) – Resurfacing on Island Park Drive (everything North of Fairbanks Drive roundabout)
Work hours will generally run from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on River Landing Drive and Fairchild Street, and from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Delahow Street and Island Park Drive.
Drivers should expect temporary lane closures, detours, and minor delays during work hours. All scheduled work is weather-dependent, and timelines may shift due to rain, equipment issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. Residents are encouraged to use caution in construction zones and allow extra travel time when traveling through affected areas.
