The POA Office was just notified about the following information by the City of Charleston:
The paving will begin today (9/26)Â on Daniel Island Drive near Blackbaud. The contractor, Truluck Roadway Services will be milling, paving, and stripping the following areas beginning today at 7 AM as indicated on the message boards they put out:
Patch 1 – Nowell Creek Bridge East Side = 575 SY (approximately 215 linear ft.)
Patch 2 – Beresford Creek Bridge West Side = 549 SY (approximately 246 linear ft.)
Patch 3 – Beresford Creek Bridge East Side = 213 SY (approximately 82 linear ft.)
They will only close one lane at a time beginning with the lane on the side of the street opposite Blackbaud to minimize the impact on traffic. The City anticipates it to take a couple of days, weather permitting with the exception of the permanent stripping which will be done at a later date once the pavement has cured.
