Collins Engineers, Inc. of Charleston, SC announces temporary closures of the truck lanes and right shoulders on the I-526 Bridges over the Wando River which carries traffic Eastbound and Westbound located in Charleston and Berkeley County. These lane closures will maintain two lanes of traffic on the I-526 Bridges in each direction over the Wando River on the dates listed below:
- Monday, April 27, 2020 through Friday, May 1, 2020 from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm
- Monday, May 4, 2020 through Friday y, May 8, 2020 from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm
- Monday, May 11, 2020 through Friday, May 15, 2020 from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm
The temporary lane closure is necessary for performing the routine bridge inspection on the I-526 Bridges over the Wando River. If further lane restrictions are required the public will be notified. Barricades, cones, signs and flashing arrows will be in the Work Zone. The public is asked to exercise caution while driving through the Work Zone.
