9/11 Heroes Run Traffic Notice

The 9/11 Heroes Run – 5K is back again for the 10th year and will be held in front of the Charleston Fire & Police Department located at 235 Seven Farms Drive, as well as the surrounding areas, including Simmons Park. The event will take place on Saturday, September 11th – Opening Ceremonies at 8:30 AM and Race at 9 AM. During the event, traffic will be temporarily impacted. Please see below for specific information regarding street closures, etc.

Seven Farms Drive between the intersections of River Landing Dr. and Pier View St. will be closed from 8 AM until 10 AM. Other streets involved with our race route will be closed at approximately 8:55 AM and reopened as soon as the last participant clears that part of the course, not to last longer than 10 AM. These streets include Seven Farms Dr. between the intersections of River Landing and Daniel Island Drive, portions of Daniel Island Dr. (from the main intersection to Purcell Ln), and River Landing Drive.

RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES ALONG THE RACE ROUTE ARE KINDLY ASKED TO USE YOUR REAR PARKING FROM FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH AT 8 PM UNTIL SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH AT 11 AM, FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR PARTICIPANTS! ANY CARS THAT ARE PARKED BETWEEN PIER VIEW STREET AND RIVER LANDING DRIVE BETWEEN 10 PM FRIDAY SEPT. 10TH AND 11 AM SATURDAY SEPT. 11TH ARE SUBJECT TO BEING TOWED AT THE OWNER’S EXPENSE!

OVERFLOW EVENT PARKING IS AVAILABLE AT NEW REALM BREWING CO, LOCATED AT 880 ISLAND PARK DRIVE.
