Neighbors, the Daniel Island Garden Club kicks off the Yard of the Month judging for the month of May.
Judges will be out scouting the 7 zones inclusive of the north and south sides of the island. Judges look for lawns with no blatant bald spots, mowed and well edged. Landscapes should have a variety of plantings and color to create interest. Front entry should appear inviting with planters, window boxes or hanging baskets being important visual features.
Each month, the judges will be out around the island looking at homes from the 15th through the 25th of the month prior to the month being judged. So for the month of May, judging will start on April 15th and end April 25th.
