Severe flooding has devastated communities across Central Texas, displacing families, destroying homes, and putting countless lives at risk. In this time of urgent need, our community can make a real difference.
Search efforts for flood victims in Kerrville are ongoing. According to APNews, at least 132 fatalities have been confirmed across Central Texas, with more than 160 people still missing in Kerr County alone, plus around 10 unaccounted for in neighboring areas.
The Daniel Island Community Foundation invites you to join us in supporting three incredible organizations on the ground right now:
- The Salvation Army Kerrville is providing emergency shelter, food, and critical supplies to families who have lost everything.
- World Central Kitchen, a trusted food aid nonprofit, has dispatched teams to deliver fresh, nourishing meals to flood victims and first responders.
- TEXSAR, an Austin-based emergency response nonprofit, has deployed swiftwater rescue teams, boats, drones, and search dogs to help find the missing and assist those still in danger.
Every dollar you give will be split equally among these three groups to ensure help reaches those who need it most.
To amplify your impact, the Daniel Island Community Fund will match all donations up to a total of $10,000!
