Items Left in Parks & Common Areas

August 30, 2024

Daniel Island has hundreds of acres of land that are home to beautiful parks, passive common areas, greenspaces, and miles of trails. From family gatherings to playdates, there is something for everyone!

All of Daniel Islands’ parks, greenspaces, and trails are open to the public and can be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. We ask that you please use the provided receptacles to dispose of unwanted items. If the receptacles are full, please take the trash with you when you leave the park.

This also includes sports equipment such as soccer, volleyball, baseball or golf nets as well as any toys or hammocks, etc. These items left in the parks and common spaces are not only visual clutter but are dangerous when left unattended. Animals such as deer or birds can get caught in them and could be injured or die because they couldn’t get out.

Please remove your personal items from any parks or common areas. If left, our team will remove and throw away.

If you have any questions on this, please email our office at info@dicommunity.org.
