As the steward of Daniel Island Park’s valuable assets, we carefully review on an annual basis a Capital Reserve program, which offers guidance and planned budgeting to improve and maintain the assets throughout Daniel Island Park. Based on the reserve’s and Field Operation’s recommendation, Great Oak Park Dock will be completely resurfaced with new siding and planks, as well as, new hardware for boats to secure themselves during launch and landing. The work, which will be done by Cape Romain Contractors, has begun and will tentatively be completed March 31st. During this renovation, access to the landing will be closed, and boating to the dock will be prohibited.
