MATCH Your Charitable Donation

February 23, 2026

The act of giving is an important part of what makes our community strong. Many property owners, renters, and businesses on Daniel Island generously support nonprofit organizations throughout the year. To help expand the impact of those charitable contributions, the Daniel Island Community Foundation (Foundation) and the Daniel Island Community Fund (DICF) offer a Donation Matching Program.

This program is designed to support local philanthropy by matching eligible donations made by members of our community to qualified nonprofit organizations.

How the Donation Match Program Works

If you make a personal donation to a qualifying nonprofit, you may submit a request for DICF to match your contribution. Matching funds help increase the total amount going to the organization, strengthening its ability to serve those in need.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a donation match:

  • The nonprofit organization must directly serve the tri-county area.
  • Donations may be matched up to $2,500 per organization, subject to fund availability.
  • In limited circumstances, higher match amounts may be considered if additional funds are available.
  • Each property or business is eligible to submit one (1) donation match request per calendar year.

Important Timing Information

Donation match requests may be submitted at any time throughout the year.

However:

  • Each property or business may submit only one request per year.
  • All submitted requests will be held for review.
  • Requests will not be reviewed or awarded until mid-December 2026, regardless of when they are submitted.

Submitting early does not result in earlier review or funding. All requests are considered together during the annual review period.

How to Apply

To request a donation match, please email Danielle Stix at Danielle.Stix@dicommunity.org and include the following information:

  • Name of the nonprofit organization
  • The organization’s Tax ID number
  • A brief description of the organization’s mission and work
  • An explanation of why the organization qualifies for a match
  • Proof of your donation (bank statement, confirmation email, or acknowledgment letter)
  • Your Daniel Island property address or business name and address

We are grateful for the generosity shown by our community year-round and appreciate your continued support in strengthening the tri-county area through thoughtful giving.
