The Holiday season is such a special time of year that brings to mind a time of giving thanks and gifts to those we love. It is also a wonderful time to give to others in need.
Many property owners, renters, and businesses in our community generously support nonprofit organizations on their own. In the spirit of philanthropy, the Daniel Island Community Foundation (Foundation) and the Daniel Island Community Fund (DICF) welcome requests for donation matching, helping to amplify the impact of your contribution. All match requests will be reviewed in mid-December.
How does your donation qualify for a match?
- The organization must directly serve the tri-county area.
- DICF will match donations up to $2,500 per organization, subject to fund availability. In some cases, DICF may consider matching higher amounts if additional funds are available.
- Match requests will be reviewed in mid-December. All requests must be submitted by December 15th, 2024.
- Each property or business is eligible to submit one donation match request per calendar year.
To Apply for a Match
Please email your request to Danielle Stix at Danielle.Stix@dicommunity.org for review. In your email, include the following details:
- The organization’s name
- Their Tax ID number
- A brief description of their mission and work
- The reason you believe the organization qualifies for a match
- Proof of your donation (e.g., bank statement, letter, or email from the organization)
- Your property address or Daniel Island business name and address
