Residents and commuters on Daniel Island should be aware of the upcoming roadway improvement schedule updates beginning Monday, April 27th, 2026. Most activity takes place overnight to minimize daytime disruptions.
- Monday night (4/27) – Resurfacing on Fairchild Street (Daniel Island Drive to River Landing Drive)
- Tuesday night (4/28) – Resurfacing on River Landing Drive (Island Park Drive to Seven Farms Drive)
- Wednesday night (4/29) – Resurfacing on River Landing Drive (Seven Farms Drive to Longshore Drive)
- Thursday night (4/30) – Resurfacing on Delahow Street (Woodford Street to Island Park Drive)
Drivers may experience temporary lane closures, detours, and minor delays during work hours. All scheduled work is weather-dependent, and timelines may shift due to rain, equipment issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. Residents are encouraged to use caution in construction zones and allow extra travel time when traveling through affected areas.

Additionally, a street blocking permit was approved for Charleston Water System on Daniel Island Dr between Inlet Ave and Coastal Dr to repair the sewer main beginning Monday, April 27th, through Friday, May 1st, between 9 AM and 5 PM.
