DESCRIPTION:The Daniel Island Community Speaker’s Series will resume on Tuesday evening\, September 17th\, from 6:30-8:00 PM in the ballroom at the Daniel Island Club. The featured speaker will be Mayor William Cogswell. \nJoin in for a very interesting and enlightening evening as Mayor Cogswell shares his priorities and forward-looking vision for Charleston\, built upon transparency and accountability. As wonderful a place to live as it is\, Charleston\, like all cities\, has some challenges ahead amongst which are flooding\, traffic congestion\, and affordable housing. You’ll gain insight into how his background from both the private and public sectors\, coupled with his experience in community development\, infrastructure improvement\, and economic development\, is being leveraged in his role as our city’s mayor. \nHave you ever wondered what it would be like to be mayor for a day? Find out as the mayor shares his perspective and perhaps even a few trials and tribulations during his first nine months in office. We all want what’s best for Charleston. Let’s hear what he has in mind for our great city! \nCome join in on September 17th! There will be a cash bar and passed hors d’oeuvres between 6:30-7:00 PM.
