The Pumpkin Walk is a favorite Daniel Island tradition and the best way to kick off the fall season. Join your friends at Smythe Lake and wander down the lit paths to view all the twinkling pumpkins that your neighbors have carved. The event includes food vendors, face painting, fire pits with s’more‘s, and so much more! You’re welcome to bring chairs and blankets to picnic at the event.
Event Timeline and Details:
Saturday, October 30th from 1 to 5 PM
Drop off your carved and decorated pumpkins with an LED tea light inside to the volunteers at Smythe Park. They will be located at the entrance to the park on the corner of Daniel Island Drive and Purcell Lane, the corner closes to the Daniel Island School.
Feel free to set up chairs and blankets in the park for the evening if you would like.
Saturday, October 30th from 7 PM – 9 PM
Walk the path and check out the pumpkins your neighbors carved
Enjoy food, vendors, and S’mores
9:00 PM – pick up your carved/decorated pumpkin to return to your porch
Sunday, October 31st at 9:30 AM
Any pumpkins remaining in the park will be discarded.
The event is hosted by the residents of the island on a volunteer basis. S’mores are sponsored by the Daniel Island Community Fund.
