The S.C. legislature recently funded the S.C. Promise scholarship that will provide up to $2,000 for graduates of high schools in Berkeley County to attend an S.C. technical college in 2018-19. This scholarship is not income-based and can be used for tuition, fees, and books.
To be eligible, applicants must have:
- Graduated from a public or private high school in Berkeley County from 2013 to 2018; OR
- Resided in Berkeley County and received a GED from 2013 to 2018; OR
- Resided in Berkeley County and graduated from a home school from 2013 to 2018.

NOTE: Berkeley County is one of the districts included in this S.C. Promise Scholarship program funded by the S.C. Legislature for residents of the plaintiff trial districts in Abbeville County School District versus South Carolina. Therefore, this scholarship does not apply to those who graduated from the school districts in Charleston and Dorchester counties.
