Mayor Tecklenburg has indicated that the City of Charleston Environmental Services Department that handles Sanitation Services (trash, recycling, and yard debris pickup) have implemented enhanced safety protocols and prepared for continuity of operations plans in case they are forced to maintain operations with a reduced workforce due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) potentially affecting their employees and the ability for them to perform their regular services.
Collection services are currently operating on a normal schedule. Should this change, we will notify residents via e-blast, our POA website and our Facebook page.
